Francisco Zuniga (1912-1998) was a prolific Costa Rican born Mexican modernist artist. Zuniga moved to Mexico where the art scene was more receptive to the new modernist style of painting, which was considered quite controversial at the time. Zuniga was also an accomplished sculptor, his common subject being the human figure.
His works continue to be popular and are come up at auctions and do well at auctions.
